Selection Process Organizer - This is a program developed by V. T. Regina & Associates especially for those institutions that feel they would benefit from limited assistance during the start-up of the computer system planning and selection process. The "Selection Process Organizer" includes:
A two-day visit by a consultant to the contracting institution to discuss the selection process including:
A recommended procedure to follow.
Survey the facility and review all department goals.
Review system vendors with the client.
Identify vendors who can meet client's goals.
Recommend a hardware configuration including recommended interfaces to instrumentation and other hospital systems.
Review storage requirements based on survey of the facility.
The contracting client will also receive:
A phased selection process plan which will highlight milestones and approximately how long each phase will take.
A standard Request for Proposal (RFP) to which they can add hospital and laboratory statistics, specific requirements, recommended configuration and interface specifications.
A Site Visit Questionnaire to be used during visits to vendor sites. This document allows for uniformity of each site visit and the collection of the same information so correct comparisons can be made.
